While the beta testers take their first steps on Planted, we haven’t been standing still. Here’s an overview of everything that has been added recently.
125,000+ plants, hybrids and cultivars
The database has now grown to more than 125,000 plants, hybrids and cultivars. That’s a solid foundation, though we’ll keep adding to it. Are you missing a plant or cultivar? Let us know.
What’s new?
🔍 Easier searching and adding of hybrids and cultivars. The search function has been refined so you find what you’re looking for faster, even for lesser-known crosses.
📄 “How does it work?” page. New on Planted: an overview page that explains what you can do with the platform. Handy for new users.
📷 Edit and report photos. You can now change the title and description of your own photos. See an inappropriate photo? You can now report it too.
🌍 Add common names. Users can now add common names to plants themselves. That way we’re building a more complete Dutch-language database together.
🧬 Better automatic naming of hybrids. More consistent and correct names thanks to improved logic.
✅ Easier adding from your plant list. Add plants directly to your collection or wishlist from your own overview page, with no extra steps.
🌿 First version of our logo. Planted has a face. We’re happy with how it turned out, though we reserve the right to let it grow a little more.
