Planted beta is live – and we’re looking for our first beta testers
After months of building, we’re opening the doors today, but not yet for everyone. Planted is now available as a closed beta, and you can request an access code.
Planted is a platform for plant enthusiasts who want to keep track of their collection, share knowledge and find other fans. We’re not quite there yet, but far enough along to welcome real users, and to use their feedback to keep building.
That’s why we’re going for a closed beta. Not to be exclusive, but because we’d rather listen closely to a small group than keep building blindly for everyone.
What can you already do?
- Keep track of your collection
- Add plants and cultivars to your collection or wishlist.
- Create collections
- Group plants into themed collections and share them publicly or keep them private.
- Discover plants
- Search by scientific name, common name or plant family.
- Upload photos
- Add your own photos to plants, cultivars or hybrids.
- Vote for the best photo.
- The photo with the most votes will be shown as the thumbnail for the plant!
- Hybrids
- Create hybrids.
- Blogs
- Write blogs about your favorite plants.
- Read blogs by other users.
The database grows every week. From everyday houseplants to hard-to-find cultivars, we’re building a reliable, Dutch-language plant database as a foundation.
What’s still to come?
We’re hard at work, on a map to find sellers near you, for example. French and English will follow later; for now, Planted is entirely in Dutch.
We’re also working on a system that lets users suggest plant characteristics themselves and add cultivars. After all, nobody knows better how a plant behaves at home than the people who grow it themselves.
Want to join the beta?
Request an access code via the button on the start page. We send codes in order of request. You’ll hear from us as soon as a spot opens up.
