Beta Agreement

This is a translation; in case of differences, the Dutch version prevails.

Welcome to the Planted beta. By creating an account and accepting this agreement, you confirm that you have read the terms below and agree to them. This agreement was drawn up by Nick Verschueren (DorgArt, Beerse, Belgium).

1. Beta software

Planted is currently in a beta phase. This means that features are still being developed and may change at any time, be temporarily unavailable or be removed entirely. We aim for a stable experience, but cannot always guarantee this during the beta.

⚠️ The beta version is not a finished product. Do not use it as the only place to store irreplaceable data.

2. Data and availability

We do our best to store your data — plants, photos and collections — safely. During the beta phase, however, data loss may in exceptional cases occur due to updates or technical problems. We recommend not storing irreplaceable photos only on Planted.

The service may go offline temporarily for maintenance or updates, without prior notice. After the end of the beta phase, your account and content will be moved automatically to the production version, unless you indicate that you do not want this.

3. Privacy and personal data GDPR

What data we process, who processes it for us, how long we keep it and what your rights are is described in the privacy policy.

Photos you upload may be given a watermark with your username to discourage unauthorised use.

4. Code of conduct

You agree not to post offensive, illegal or harmful content. This includes, among other things:

Not uploading copyrighted photos without the permission of the rights holder
Not entering incorrect or misleading plant data
Not using automated scripts or bots to query the platform
Not sharing access or login details with third parties

Planted reserves the right to remove content and deactivate accounts in case of abuse, without further notice.

5. Feedback

As a beta tester you are invited to report bugs, errors and suggestions via the built-in report form or directly to the administrators. All feedback you provide — in writing, via the platform or verbally — may be used freely by Planted to improve the product.

Providing feedback does not give you any right to compensation, co-ownership or any other claim to the platform or its future commercial activities.

💡 Your own content (photos, notes, blogs) always remains yours. You only grant Planted a licence to show it within the platform.

6. Confidentiality

As a beta tester you may get access to features and information that are not yet publicly available. You agree to:

Not discuss unreleased features on social media, blogs or forums
Not share screenshots of unfinished parts
Treat communication you receive about product development as confidential

Sharing general impressions ("I'm testing a new plant app") is of course allowed.

7. Liability

To the extent permitted under Belgian law, Planted is not liable for direct, indirect or consequential damage resulting from the use of the beta version. Participants take part at their own risk.

In particular, Planted is not liable for loss of uploaded content, interruption of the service or incorrect plant data during the beta phase.

8. Changes

This agreement may be changed as the platform evolves. In case of significant changes, you will be informed at least 14 days in advance via an announcement on the platform or by email. Continued participation after the effective date counts as acceptance. If you do not agree, you can end your participation by sending an email to garden@dorgart.be.

9. Applicable law

This agreement is governed exclusively by Belgian law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court of the judicial district of Antwerp (Turnhout division).
